Temperature-controlled storage Pauwels
Challenge
Pauwels is one of the largest producers of sauces in Europe. The company was facing a temporary shortage of storage space at its Oelegem plant and was looking for an emergency solution. As the accommodation was to be used to store egg yolks, a temperature-controlled solution was required. The inside temperature had to be constantly kept below 3°C, regardless of the outside temperature.
Solution
Veldeman built a 15m by 15m storage facility with sidewalls of 5.4m. In cooperation with Arec, who are specialists in cooling technology, and using insulated sandwich panels we equipped this storage space with a cold room with a height of 3.5m. A special gate was also installed to ensure a permanent low temperature.
