Work tents for Yara Tertre
Challenge
The Norwegian chemical company Yara specializes in the production of nitrogen-based mineral fertilizers and related industrial products. The company is the global leader in ammonia, nitrates and specialty fertilizers. For the branch in Tertre (Belgium), Yara needed a roof above a concrete basin and above a loading zone. Both had to be tiled under dry conditions and at a temperature of 15°, because of the curing process of the tile adhesive.
Solution
Veldeman built two work tents so that the work could take place in the right conditions. A first work tent measuring 20m by 25m was built over the basin. The second work tent measuring 5m by 40m was not only built over the loading zone, but also under an existing metal construction. A complex assignment that Veldeman managed to complete with great care.
