Proximus Pop-Up Arena and Veldeman offer music lovers a unique indoor festival feeling
Now that the month of July is behind us, the Proximus Pop-Up Arena in Middelkerke is taking stock. Figures show that an amazing 92.20% of visitors gave the arena a score of at least 7 out of 10. More than a quarter of them even rated their visit with the maximum score of 10 points.
For the second summer in a row, the Proximus Pop-Up Arena in Middelkerke is welcoming tens of thousands of music lovers to twenty concerts. Just like last summer, more than a third of visitors say that they combine a visit to the arena with a seaside vacation. More than half say that, as well as attending the concert, they also plan other leisure activities. The concert accommodation also receives great feedback. Almost 8 out of 10 visitors say they are satisfied with the view of the stage.

Unique festival feeling with the benefits of an indoor arena
Veldeman once again provided the accommodation in which the performing artists and the public can enjoy a musical summer. Commissioned by the be•at group, the company erected an impressive Boxx structure measuring 50 x 60 metres, with a staggering height of 14 metres.
The Boxx was fitted with black roof fabrics, panels which are silver on the outside and dark on the inside, 2 cargo doors (5 x 4 metres) to facilitate logistics and 28 fresh air vents, a requirement since Corona. The stage was equipped with reinforcement supports to allow for higher suspension tonnages, for light and sound. The arena, which can accommodate a 5,000-strong audience, combines a unique festival feeling with the benefits of an indoor arena.
Total solution by Veldeman
In addition to the striking arena, Veldeman also erected ten alu halls which are in use as a green room and kitchen and contain beverage and food corners and a self-service shop. Veldeman also installed 3,000 m² of decking and an entire stand for Proximus.
This summer, be•at and Veldeman succeeded in giving tens of thousands of music lovers a unique experience.

New Boxx structure
Earlier this year, Veldeman’s new Boxx structure could be seen at the Dutch Awakenings Easter festival, where this was used as a stage tent. In October, you can admire the Boxx when it will be the epicentre at the Zoute Grand Prix, where the structure will be used as a showroom for premium car brands, exclusive events, VIP cocktails, etc.
