Challenge

Versele-Laga is an international producer of high-quality animal food with seven factories in Europe, one in China, and two in the United States. With a passion for animals, the company has grown over the past 90 years from a small family business to an international specialist in quality food and care for animals.

For the opening of a new 30m high extrusion tower at its main site in Deinze and to celebrate its 90th anniversary, the company reached out to Veldeman to rent a professional tent for the corporate event. The entire event was spread over 4 days and had to accommodate a maximum capacity of 1,000 people per day.

Solution

Veldeman built a TFS structure for the animal food manufacturer, measuring 30 meters wide and 55 meters long. For the roofing, they chose a combination of silver-black and transparent roof covers. The silver-black covers, with a black interior, created the perfect atmosphere for light effects while also giving the setup a sleek and modern look. The transparent roof covers provided guests with a stunning view of the green surroundings of Versele-Laga’s corporate site. Attached to the TFS structure, we built an open terrace with a balustrade and two alu halls, which served as a toilet area and a darkened space for video presentations.

The professional tent structures were finished by Veldeman with 1m x 1m anthracite-colored carpet tiles, fabric coverings in the aluminum halls, luxury toilet trailers, and heating in all tent structures. Veldeman acted as a single point of contact for coordinating the tent structures and accompanying facilities.
