Indoor tennis centre Ellesmere College

Challenge

The idea for an indoor tennis hall has been mooted for several years at Ellesmere College. The school has set up a tennis academy which has achieved great results but the limiting factor has always been an indoor facility that can be used all year round. Through a competitive tender process, Ellesmere College went looking for an appropriate solution to offer its pupils and coaching staff the possibility to play all year round.

Solution

Commissioned by our British partner Rocklyn we developed a tennis hall fully aligned with Ellesmere College’s expectations and needs. The structure of 38 x 70m, type Trium, features 4 indoor acrylic performance courts. Ellesmere College is absolutely delighted with the end product and high quality finish and also the tennis players are very enthusiastic. The tennis hall strengthens the colleges’ reputation as a leading tennis school.

In 2018, the tennis hall of Ellesmere College won the SAPCA award.
