Covering of tennis courts USC Amsterdam
Challenge
The University of Amsterdam wanted to offer its students and the members of the local tennis club better facilities for training and competition during winter. Therefore, an independent consultant was engaged who had to provide the best solution. After thorough analysis of the various concepts, Veldeman was chosen to build a tennis facility.
Solution
For the university of Amsterdam, Veldeman built the first steel tennis hall in the Benelux which meets the stringent requirements of the KNLTB. The side walls of the tennis facility can be opened during the summer months, which, in combination with the translucent roof fabric ensures that the tennis players can play in the best conditions all year round. The result is a beautiful and furthermore unique steel tennis facility.
