Temporary production space Johnson Controls
Challenge
During the renovation of the factory of Johnson Controls in Assenede, the production line of car seats had to be temporarily covered. It was important to cover the production line on its own site to maintain the existing logistics process.
Solution
Veldeman built a temporary structure of 30 m x 70 m, or 2,100 m², to cover the production area for a period of one year. Equipped with 5 m x 5 m electric gates and air locks it fitted seamlessly to the other production lines. As this concerned JIT 24h production environment, much attention was paid to air conditioning and lighting. By means of a heating and cooling system, distributed through channels, a pleasant climate was created in the covered production area. Next to this covered production area, a canteen with sanitary adjoining facilities was built.
