How did we do it?
Using the motto of “Building bridges” JCI Limburg organised a speed dating session for entrepreneurs. The aim of the speed dating session was to bring 300 entrepreneurs from Belgian and Dutch Limburg together. In order to really capture the concept of building bridges, the speed dating session actually took place on a bridge across the Albert canal in Kanne (Riemst). To carry out this event on the bridge, JCI Limburg went in search of a structure that would provide a great view over the canal. An additional challenge when organizing the event was the movement of traffic across the bridge and ensuring any inconvenience was kept to a minimum.
Veldeman installed a 7.5 by 65 metre transparent tent, which gave the entrepreneurs the chance to chat and look out over the bridge. The tent was built in six hours. It was dismantled immediately after the event and the bridge was open to traffic within four hours. As well as the transparent tent, Veldeman set up a number of Athena tents for catering and cloakrooms. JCI Limburg was very satisfied with our fast service and was kind enough to post a comment on our Facebook page:
“Thank you very much Veldeman for this unique example of technical expertise. This unprecedented setting on a bridge required a unique tent. Your tent and attentive service fitted the bill perfectly. Thanks to the transparent tent, 300 entrepreneurs had the pleasure of the speed dating event, whilst looking out over the canal at Riemst. #unique #buildingbridges”. (JCI Limburg)
