How did we do it?
The Windsor Golf Hotel & Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya needed professional tent structures for events that were organised on site. The marquees had to be easy to assemble so that they would be able to erect and dismantle the marquees themselves. The marquees had to stay sufficiently cool, taking into account the tropical climate.
Windsor found that Veldeman had the ideal marquees for the hotel. They bought aluminium halls in a variety of widths with a total surface area of 3,600 m². The three aluminium halls measuring 20 metres by 50 metres can also be extended using two Mexico marquees that measure 20 metres by 40 metres. The marquees were equipped with fabrics that prevent the light to enter, so that the heat from outside is kept out. During the first few weeks a Veldeman fitter was on site in Nairobi to help and offer expert advice on how to assemble and dismantle the marquees. He trained the local team to erect the marquees for the hotel in the correct way and also gave tips and tricks to ensure the end result was a professional job.
“The structures are very robust and the fitter who came to offer guidance to the team was excellent. He took the time and effort to ensure that the team understood every part of the installation process. The marquees are the ideal solution for the events at our hotel. Thanks to the PVC fabrics not letting light in, it always stays nice and cool and the guests always have a great time. Thank you Veldeman!”
