How did we do it?
The daring, but deliberate Zoute Events started in 2010 with a high-profile classic car meet: the Zoute Grand Prix. Since then this event has grown impressively. Every year must be better than the previous edition, also the cover for the event. Here lies, each time again, the challenge of the organisers to Veldeman! Better with innovative materials and forms, better regarding personalised look and feel, better logistical timing and so on. Everything has to be perfect down to the smallest detail!
Veldeman builds this project at two different locations. For Prado Zoute, all tent structures must be built on the beach and raised to dike height. It’s a tough challenge for our experienced tent builders, which they take on with great enthusiasm and perseverance. Furthermore, within a short period of time, a second location must be built, namely the Royal Zoute Golf Club (Concours D’Elegance). Here, the Golf Club’s tight schedule must be taken into account, which still has a busy event calendar in the run-up to the Zoute Grand Prix.
We have built approximately 200 metres worth of aluminium halls that served as a gallery for exclusive car brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley, Maserati, … in which the most special cars were exhibited. From the gallery, visitors had access to the Zoute Sale where they could follow the auction by the well-known auction house Bonhams live. This is where some of the most special cars were sold. This continued in our impressive Boxx structure of 30 metres wide, 60 metres long and more than 10 metres high. Two aluminium halls were used as exhibition spaces for cars that were auctioned by the renowned Bonhams auction house. Furthermore, we provided a covered start and finish for the Zoute Rally and terraces from which the Rally could be followed. Various aluminium halls served as a cloakroom, backstage space, shop, …
At the Royal Zoute Golf Club we built floor platforms around the fairways for a special and spectacular exhibition of 75 unique classic and vintage cars. An aluminium hall of 1,625 m² with accompanying terrace floors and a kitchen tent have been used for a gala dinner.
All tent structures were personalised by means of stickers.
Veldeman managed this great project’s meticulous planning and excellent coordination on site, which the organisation was very pleased with!
