How did we do it?
C&A decided to demolish the branch in Kontich and to build a completely new building. During the construction they wanted to continue to serve the customers. They therefore looked for a temporary accommodation for a period of 10 months near their existing location.
Veldeman built a temporary retail space of 1,000 m² on a rented site. Apart from the reinforced floor with vinyl finish, electric sliding doors, emergency doors, warehouse and LED lighting, Veldeman provided a full-service social space. Fitting rooms, canteen, toilets and cooking facilities were temporarily housed in units to make things as comfortable as possible for the staff. After a safety check by the fire brigade, C&A was able to open the doors of the temporary shop for a commercial success story.
